It was also the day a seizure that would change her life struck the Timaru woman. Two months later, with no explanation, she was paralyzed on one side of her body and the vision in her left eye was impaired.
A year on she still has no answers but is remarkably upbeat.
“There have been many ups and downs,” she said.
When the seizure happened, she was diagnosed with epilepsy and prescribed anti-epileptic medication.
