Margaret Daly was horrified when she visited her husband in his nursing home and found him tied to a chair, with straps cutting into his genitals.
She said her 64-year-old husband Sean – who developed epilepsy, post-traumatic stress disorder and dementia after suffering a head injury from a brutal gang attack in a Mentone park – spent almost four months confined to a chair or aimlessly walking down a corridor. He was given antipsychotic drugs to control his agitation.
