Skye McCole Bartusiak, who played the youngest daughter of Mel Gibson’s character in the 2000 film The Patriot, died on Saturday at her home in Houston, reports CNN and Variety. She was 21.
“We lost our girl,” her mother, Helen McCole Bartusiak, told CNN. Investigators have not determined a cause of death, but Bartusiak has been suffering from epileptic seizures in recent days, according to her mother.
