The Indiana House and Senate honored a Lake Station high school student last week for his efforts to raise awareness of epilepsy.
Drake Abramson, 16, was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2011 after suffering a seizure during a freshman football game at Lake Station Edison High School.
Following his diagnosis, Abramson started the ThinkBrave Foundation to spread word about the disorder and provide college scholarships to students suffering from epilepsy.
“I think if we raise awareness, we are that much closer to finding a cure,” Abramson said.
The Epilepsy Network is a worldwide community of people with epilepsy, family and friends, uniting to talk about their experiences, learn information about epilepsy, ask questions and so much more! Don’t let epilepsy defeat you, let it inspire you!
