The first day back to school for Jason Harding was unlike that of his classmates, his mother Cristy said. A grand mal seizure at about 6:40 a.m. Thursday sidelined Jason, who attends the Warrior Run School District.
Jason then needed to rest to recover. “When he got up, he had difficulty taking his six morning pills and eating his Ketogenic breakfast,” she said. Jason must eat the full meal and drink heavy whipping cream to avoid even more seizures.
After dealing with more fatigue and a headache, Jason finally made it to school — at the end of the day. Cristy said he wanted to meet his new teacher.
