The Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota will hold a rally before Saturday’s Gophers football game to show support for coach Jerry Kill and the 60,000 other Minnesotans with epilepsy.
People affected by seizures will gather at 8:30 a.m. Saturday on Oak Street — between TCF Bank Stadium and Mariucci Arena — for the regular home-game Victory Walk by Kill and his players, according to the foundation. Those attending the rally will receive “JERRYSOTA” T-shirts to wear during the game against San Jose State.
“We’re turning misinformation into opportunities to provide more seizure education,” Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota executive director Vicki Kopplin said in a statement. “It’s time for all of us affected by epilepsy to stand up and not be defined by seizures.”
The Epilepsy Network is a worldwide community of people with epilepsy, family and friends, uniting to talk about their experiences, learn information about epilepsy, ask questions and so much more! Don’t let epilepsy defeat you, let it inspire you!
