A little girl with cerebral palsy, desperate for a new wheelchair, could have her wish granted after supermarket workers rallied to her cause.
Six-year-old Tia Miller needs roughly £5,000 for a purpose-built wheelchair as she is quickly growing out of her current one.
Workers at Tesco Ystrad Mynach, along with members of Islwyn Running Club, have so far raised £1,400 a mere 10 days into fundraising.
The store’s community ambassador Blair Lundie said: “The majority of the money raised so far came from private donations and a raffle, which is ongoing. The draw will be on September 8. Tia suffers from regular muscle stiffness and severe epilepsy, and so needs to be comfortable all the time.
