The mother of a 4-year-old Kalamazoo Township girl is crediting her with saving her life and the life of her unborn child.
Centerria Manning has had epilepsy since she was young girl.
Wednesday Centerria began to seize, her 4-year-old daughter Calise Manning was the only one home with her.
Centerria was also nine-months pregnant.
“She got up to get some water and she fell and I went to go see what happened and was just lying on the floor shaking,” Calise said.
Her mom said she has been working Calise since she was 2-years-old to make sure she knew what to do if she ever had to call for help.
“It was a point and time where my epilepsy got so bad that medicine wouldn’t help it, and because the medicine wouldn’t help it I wanted her to be prepared if we were home alone by ourselves,” Centerria said.
