A young Northampton girl who has epilepsy has written and illustrated her first book.
Katherine Curtis, 12, who now lives in Devon, created the children’s book ‘Herbie the Horse Goes on Holiday’, and 10 per cent of proceeds will be going to Epilepsy Action.
The charity supports people with epilepsy, including the 63,400 children living with epilepsy across the UK.
Anna Curtis, Katherine’s mother, said: “Katherine developed epilepsy when she was five years old and it has affected her progress growing up. However, she has a fantastic imagination and was determined to use her ideas to write her own book. Katherine has always loved horses so it seemed natural that her book would feature one!
