Thousands of people, mostly children, who have been on a wait list to get a special kind of hemp oil to treat seizures could soon move off that list. It’s all because of a massive expansion in hemp production happening in Teller County through the five Stanley brothers from Southern Colorado.
Originally the cannabis oil, called Charlotte’s Web, was classified as medical marijuana. But thanks to new hemp laws in Colorado, the Stanley brothers can now grow it on a much larger scale. That’s because Charlotte’s web qualifies as hemp as it has almost no THC, the psychoactive part of marijuana.
