Kristina Donald was ignored by by-standers after suffering an intense epileptic seizure at a busy public bus stop.
Kristina told yesterday how she was left lying on a busy street for 15 minutes after suffering a severe epileptic seizure – because no one stopped to help her.
Kristina, 19, was at a bus stop on her way to work when she collapsed. When she came round, she had no idea where she was and pleaded with passers-by to help. Kristina said: “It was quite a big seizure as it was 15 minutes between me going under and being able to get up and leave the bus stop. “I was scared and confused when I woke. I was so weak I couldn’t stand up straight away and I was clinging to the railings.”

It happened to me too.
My first seizure was on an Airline and the passenger I sat next to I was talking to ignored me after my seizure and wouldn’t even answer a simple Question What happened ? What we need is more awareness so people aren’t afraid to help others.
I am so very sorry that happened to you, and so disappointed in the people who did nothing. I too have epilepsy and have had some scary experiences. I get the feeling you are wise beyond your years and what didn’t kill you made you stronger.. although be it known I honestly hope and pray this never happens to you again sweet heart. My 20yr old daughter recently had a seizure for first time and so I know as a mom, it hurts me to hear your story as I can imagine my own daughter in same situation. a great big HUG to you and sincere well wishes your way!!! BTW, in such a vulnerable and confused state as I know you were, I am so proud and amazed at how strong you had to be and how you handled something that others would have totally just had a breakdown!
