Cara Kazor has lived with epilepsy since she was 5 years old, but never found the opportunity to open up about her emotions surrounding the condition.
After attending Studio E, a six-week art therapy session for teens and adults with epilepsy, she found a way to address those issues and communicate those inner conflicts to others who are like herself.
“This has not only helped me as an artist, it has also helped me to get who I am as a person. I feel very, very fortunate to be in this group,” said Kazor, 26, of Waukee.
