Pittsfield native Jackie Quetti was 5 years old when she was diagnosed with epilepsy.
It is something she has lived with nearly her entire life, with a shifting regimen of medications helping her control seizures that, at their worst, could strike hundreds of times per day.
“I was very quiet about it,” said Jackie, who is scheduled to graduate from Elms College in Chicopee this May. “When I was at school, I was trying to have a positive attitude as much as possible.”
She did not let the disorder stop her, despite daily bouts of absence seizures.
