Two years ago, Our Lady of Mercy Academy student and Washington Township resident, Morgan Leaf suffered two grand mal seizures and was diagnosed with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. Now entering her senior year at OLMA, Leaf has used this to push her to work even harder and has never let it get in the way of achieving her goals.
Before the seizures, Leaf was a cheerleader for OLMA and a local club team, Jersey Pride, based in Washington Township. When she suffered the medical issues, she was forced to miss some time but fought right through it.
