Sixteen-year-old Olivia Grego’s bright, warm, bubbly personality fills up any room she’s in.
The vivacious teen, a former pageant winner, is eager to talk about school, her passion for special-effects make up, playing the piano and working out. It’s hard to imagine just five years ago, she stopped breathing inside her home. Her mom, Audrey Grego, frantically gave her CPR until first responders arrived to whisk her to the hospital. That wasn’t the first time it happened to the teen. Olivia suffered grand mal seizures due to epilepsy. Audrey said by the sixth grade Olivia was suffering anywhere between 40-50 seizures – all before noon. It got so bad, the Gregos pulled Olivia out of school that year and homeschooled her.
