Misty Alger began her senior year of high school at Great Falls High recently with the excited nervousness most seniors feel. But for Alger, there was excitement for another reason.
The 18-year-old Alger, who has has been diagnosed with an epilepsy-like seizure disorder, took classes from home for more than two years because her seizures had become too difficult to handle while at school. But after starting a new medication, she is thrilled that her seizures, and the crippling headaches that come with them, have begun to abate.
