Former rugby league player Mark Geyer broke down in tears on a morning radio show on Tuesday while talking about his daughter’s epilepsy attack.
Geyer began crying during the Triple M radio show he hosts while describing his eldest daughter’s seizure on Sunday morning.
He told his co-hosts Matty Johns and Gus Worland the incident had brought him to his knees and he had been afraid he would lose her.
“Everybody loves their kids to death. I’m a big monster of a man but I couldn’t do anything, not a thing,” Geyer said, adding he’s 6 foot 5 inches (1.96 metres).
“When you’re powerless as a dad, no matter how big and strong you are, that’s the worst feeling in the world.”
Good afternoon, i just read this article on Mark Geyers daughters and i know how hard it is as my 25 year old son was diagnosed with epilepsy over 12 years ago. Its never easy but you have to learn to just be there to support them. I to live in Penrith and am there for any one including Mark for support for them as its not easy.
