The daughter of an epilepsy sufferer is taking an extraordinary step to help raise money for charity and increase awareness of the illness.
Jenny Hull, 24, from Prescot Road will be undertaking a skydive at the Black Knights Parachute Centre, in Lancaster, on August 1, in aid of Epilepsy Research UK.
Her father Stan, 53, was diagnosed with epilepsy in July 2009, suffering from complex partial seizures of the left temporal lobe.
Stan has taken various medications for his epilepsy, but still has seizures due to his type of epilepsy being one of the hardest to control. Other members of Jenny’s family have also been affected with types of epilepsy, with her mum Janet, a former sufferer of petit-mal seizures. And her late granddad, who passed away in 2010, also had epilepsy, following a stroke.
