Mom, Lisa Brown’s heart leapt into her mouth as she watched her six-year-old daughter have a seizure in the middle of a busy road.
Six-year-old Liwsi Mô Hoyland was diagnosed with epilepsy last year, after encountering 30 seizures a day, including one while she had a knife in her mouth during a meal out.
“It’s moments like that when it really hits home,” said Lisa, 35, from Gwynedd.
“Once, she was in the middle of the road when she just stopped dead and we really realized the danger of it. It makes your heart skip a beat and gives you flutters in your stomach.”
