A mother has paid tribute to staff at a school after they went the extra mile to learn how to deal with her daughter’s epilepsy.
Mum Cihan Nicholson has thanked staff at Hemlington Hall Academy, Middlesbrough, for taking training which came into its own when Jessica Nicholson, five, suffered a severe seizure at school.
Jessica began having seizures last December with episodes varying in severity from severe to mild. On May 8, Jessica suffered a very severe seizure at school which meant she had to be taken to James Cook University Hospital.
But thanks to training that school staff had received just the day before, Jessica received the best possible care.
