In the wake of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s announcement of a pilot medical marijuana program in New York, advocates of medical cannabis are urging for a more comprehensive and regulated system. Lawmakers, drug policy groups, doctors, patients and their families met outside the Senate chamber Monday and called on the Senate and governor to take action on the Compassionate Care Act.
