Restaurant bosses have revealed plans for fundays to support a youngster who has pulled at the heartstrings of Hartlepool people.
McDonald’s is planning a Bank Holiday fundraiser for Callum Smith, the little Hartlepool boy who has epilepsy and a string of other conditions.
The Hartlepool Mail and town charity Epilepsy Outlook jointly launched a campaign last month to raise £5,000 for Callum so that he could have a sensory room in his Laird Road home, where he is cared for by his mom and dad Zoe Neesam, 21, and Luke Smith, 23.
They’ve smashed through that target last week and the fund total now stands at around £7,500.
But Callum’s needs are ongoing and that’s why McDonald’s and other caring people are continuing the support.
