An epileptic woman who suffered a severe seizure woke up to find two strangers laughing at her and filming the ordeal on their mobile phones.
Maggie O’Connor, 26, was walking her dog in the grounds of St Botolph’s Priory in Colchester, Essex, when she had a seizure.
She woke up to find two men standing over her filming her as they laughed about how she had wet herself during the seizure.
Miss O’Connor explained that she was covered in blood after having bitten her tongue and had also wet herself – both of which are common occurrences for some sufferers of epilepsy during a seizure.
One of the men, who Miss O’Connor described as being in their 20s, put a mobile phone inches from her face in order to get a close-up, she said. He only stopped filming when her Staffordshire bull terrier Dylan growled protectively.

I am so sorry to read of your experience with the mean, ugly guys that witnessed your seizures. I can’t imagine anybody being that hateful. The seizure itself is painful enough. I hope you’ve been able to recover physically and emotionally from this ugly event. Godspeed
In cases like this,I wish that that guy can start getting epileption. Why didn’t God bring this seizures over him and take it away from that woman????
That is just horrible!!! What hell is wrong with kids today? Making fun of a person for something they have no control over.
Appalling. Why will the police not investigate? This poor lady was clearly needing assistance
and these vile individuals thought funny to film it. Thank goodness for her dog.
This is outrageous. These people should be brought to account for not helping. But to humiliate this wonderful young woman any further is disgraceful behaviour.
We live in a cruel cruel world.
I am so sorry to hear that you were subjected to that. Having seizures is hard enough both physically and mentally….but to be made the subject of cruel public display is just SO WRONG. I am sure if the cameras were flipped they would not think it so funny. Prays to you as you live one day at a time…TO THE FULLEST!
What an absolutely stunning young lady. Karma is a rough bus ride and I hope she’s driving the bus when those two POS get their pay back. God bless her!!
surely a law has been broken, this is a form of abuse and discrimination. What message does this give if the police sit on their hands saying its okay to treat someone like that.
It is not just those louts that need a talking to – but the police too
Maybe we she watch as the get beat senseless and film it laughing as it happens. I think they would think twice about how they act. This is nothing to make fun of or any one that has other disabilitys. My daughter has Grandmal seizures and the kids at her school made fun of her also for having them
In school they would throw stuff at her and make jokes and the school did nothing about it. Besides saying if we don’t see it we can’t do nothing about it.
