Toddler Summer Pullen will soon be able to play in her garden for the first time after being struck down by a stroke at the age of two.
The youngster, above, is believed to be one of just two children in Stoke-on-Trent suffering from Dravet syndrome – a rare form of epilepsy which causes prolonged seizures.
In March, the two-year-old was admitted to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire (UHNS) after suffering a serious seizure.
Doctors believe it caused a stroke which resulted in weakness down Summer’s left hand side. It also left her unable to walk for several months.
